Opening for City Council Member

The City of Toyah has an alderman's position open at this time.  This position is to serve out the one-year term of a recently resigned city council member.  Interested parties have until the next regularly scheduled city council meeting on 7/8/25, to submit a letter of interest to Toyah City Hall.  Letters of interest can be dropped off in person, dropped in the drop box near the front doors to City Hall, or mailed to: City of Toyah, PO Box 144, Toyah, TX 79785.  Qualifications of Alderman are as follows: must be a US Citizen, a Texas resident for 12 months, a resident in the territory you reside for 6 months, registered to vote in the area of office sought, and at least 18 years old.  Letters of interest will be read at the city council meeting on 7/8/25 and individuals will be given the chance to make a personal statement on their own behalf.
